2021 NFL Draft Prospect: Bryan Mills, CB, North Carolina Central University

Bryan Mills NCCU
North Carolina Central University cornerback Bryan Mills maybe the best small school cornerback in all of college football. The MEAC has a stud in Mills!

North Carolina Central University has a DOG at cornerback that has NFL scouts drooling right now. The former College of Canyons transfer is huge standing at 6020 and weighing 170 pounds. In his first year with North Carolina Central, his presence was felt immediately. He was overlooked by college football teams after his time at College of Canyons. I feel I should put his film here early in the article because the kid is a glove.

North Carolina Central University was obviously doing a great job by recruiting Mills because he has been a standout for them. The Palmdale, California native decided to take his talents to North Carolina and he did not disappoint last season as a Junior.

Mills was voted first team All-MEAC in his first year in the conference. The 6020 corner topped the MEAC with 5 interceptions last year and ranked 2nd in the conference with 13 pass break ups. Quarterbacks had not seen him before and tried him and boy were they wrong.

Mills finished with just 22 tackles, but his ball skills are something serious. His film against Morgan State last year was insane. He ended up winning Defensive player of the week when he finished with three interceptions. The crazy thing is two of the passes were to prevent touchdowns. Mills has swag and confidence. He trusts his skills, and is a playmaker.

NFL Draft Diamonds Scouting Notes:

I love me some Bryan Mills. Mills is long, lanky and confident. You have to have confidence at cornerback and I feel the Palmdale, California native has swag and the ability to change a game. That game against Morgan State was game changing. He prevented two touchdown by himself and helped NCCU win 27-17. I expect Mills to blossom into a top small school corner this year.
