Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Montravius Adams was arrested for possession of marijuana

Add Montravius Adams to the off-season from hell. Another NFL football player arrested this off-season. It has been a rough couple weeks. The former Auburn defensive lineman and current Green Bay Packer was stopped in Georgia and eventually arrested.

Adams was charged with three misdemeanors: possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, driving without insurance and having a suspended/canceled/revoked vehicle registration.

The Packers are aware of the arrest and released this statement:

“The Packers are aware of the matter involving Montravius Adams,” a team spokesperson said in a statement issued to PackersNews. “We will refrain from making any further comment as it is an ongoing legal matter.”

According to the police report, Adams was pulled over for driving on an expired registration. When approaching the vehicle the officer noticed the smell of marijuana and then had probable cause to search Adams vehicle. That is when he discovered less than an ounce of marijuana in Adams possession.

Adams is the fifth player arrested in the past seven days

Adams joins Ed Oliver, Deandre Baker, Cody Latimer and Quinton Dunbar in recent players getting arrested this off-season. I am sure this is not the last player to get arrested. They have been having a rough off-season so far.
