Last week former Titans CB Logan Ryan posted on his Instagram that his time with the Tennessee Titans has come to an end. The former Rutgers University Scarlet Knight is close to returning back to New Jersey this week.
According to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, Ryan is close to singing a one-year deal with the New York Jets. While nothing is official yet, the potential signing of Logan Ryan would be a huge addition for General Manager Joe Douglas in his first offseason.
Ryan has been around the league since 2013, after being drafted by the New England Patriots in the 3rd round. Over the last seven seasons, Ryan has only missed 3 regular-season games. He is a two-time Super Bowl Champion and would immediately step into the No.1 corner spot for Gang Green.
New York’s Top three cornerbacks would now consist of Logan Ryan, Pierre Desir, and Brian Poole. Ryan is coming off a career year last season where he posted career-highs in Tackles (113) and pass deflections(18).
If Douglas can pull off this move, Gang Green’s secondary will be vastly improved heading into the season.
