Eljon Williams Jr. Free Agent
Free Agent defensive end Eljon Williams Jr.recently sat down with Justin Berendzen of NFL Draft Diamonds.

Hello, I am @jrberendzen on Twitter and this is one of my free agent interviews where I ask very deserving free agents questions about the players themselves and about what a team would get in these players. All of these players should get picked up by NFL and CFL teams and get a shot at being a career football player. So I hope you all read this interview with Eljon Williams Jr. Make sure you follow him on Twitter at @EljonWilliams45

1.If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

I would have to say Willie McGinest. The reason why is because I can relate to his story where he never won a championship in high school or college. Also, he’s someone I’ve been watching ever since I was young and has always inspired me to push through no matter what adversities come your way.

2. What is your favorite tv show?

I love Martin! Probably the funniest tv show to this day.

3. What is your mindset when you are on the football field?

My mindset is to simply do my job and go all out. I make sure I’m zoned in and hurt whoever has the ball in their possession every single play.

4. What do you do for fun?

I like to draw whenever I have free time, listen to old school music, socialize with my friends & family, and play on my PS4.

5. Who is your favorite musical artist?

I would have to say Jadakiss. His music never disappoints me, he’s always making hits.

6. If you have a nickname what is your nickname or if you don’t have a nickname what would you make up as your nickname?

I used to have a nickname back in high school that my JV coach gave me during my freshman year, he called me Lurch. I was tall and big like Lurch from the Addams family, which was funny but also true. It stuck with me all the way through and people still call me that today.

7.If you were on an island and could only have three things which three things would you have?

If I were on an island, I would have my music, a book and my drawing pad to keep me sane.

8.What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

Well, it was actually my Mom who put me in football. I wanted to be a basketball player at first, but I noticed how big and aggressive I was compared to other kids I would play against. Then when I got to high school, I realized I wasn’t that good so I stuck with football. When I started to play defensive end in my junior year at Randolph High, that’s when I made that decision on being a football player. I fell in love with the game because of the adrenaline rush I felt being able to take out the QB and the backs put O-lineman on their backs, it made me enjoy playing football every second.

9. If you were an animal which animal would you be and why?

I would choose to be a lion. I feel that lions are very powerful animals that fight, show leadership, intelligent and don’t back down from anything at all.

10. What would a team get in a player like you?

Being the type of person that was always counted out as a player and undervalued until I got my chance to show my talent and skills on the field, it opened the eyes of many coaches. Since high school, coming from a small town my skills were doubted until I was named MVP of the FBU camp out of 300+ players, Blue-Grey All American on to a D1 school where I started 6 games as a true freshman. So what they’ll get from me is a person who doesn’t know how to quit, never says die, who is a motivator and self-motivator, and when the tank is empty, I still run off the fumes.

11. If you were on a game show and won 100 thousand dollars what would you do with it?

I would do my research and figure out how to make my money grow. My Dad told me about a book he read called “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”, I would want to learn how to make my $100,000 grow for me.

12. If you could live anywhere in the world where and why?

Coming from the North, I’m used to the cold and snow, but I still hate it. I would want to live in Atlanta, Georgia. I wouldn’t have to worry about the cold or face any snowstorms during the wintertime.
