Tell us about your university/college. What was your major/minor? How is campus life?

The last four years I have had at SRU have been the best part of my life so far. I have learned so much about myself and I have met some really amazing people that have helped me so much. My major is Safety Management. The campus is very welcoming, and it is not a huge school so you get to know a good percentage of the students.

What do your teammates say is your best quality?

I would have to say my intensity or work ethic. My one teammate on the D-Line always said how he could see every muscle in my body straining while I played. Also, I try to be the hardest worker on my team which is an everyday challenge because there are players who are very motivated like myself.

What kind of role do you see yourself in on the team? What scheme and/or position suits your skillset?

I think I am a leader by example. I am not really a vocal guy when it comes to leading my teammates, I’d rather just demonstrate with my play. I can play the 4-3 D-end or the 3-4 OLB. I feel like I can adjust to whatever is asked of me.

Who is the best player you have ever played against in college?

Ardell Brown

Which one of your teammates impresses you the most?

I would have to say Roland Rivers. He just demonstrates a strong love for the game, and his work ethic is unmatched. He also won the Harlon Hill award in 2019.

Describe a time in your life when you were able to overcome a struggle.

After the 2018 season, I had a sports hernia injury. The pain was intense and required surgery, so I had to work twice as hard to make sure I was back for the 2019 season.

If you didn’t play football, what other sport would you play?

I wrestled my whole life, but I do not miss it at all. I would play baseball again as I used to as a kid before I’d wrestle again.

What is something that you are most proud of? What would you say is your biggest achievement?

Becoming a PSAC and Super Region 1 Champion in 2019. I made the All-PSAC First Team Defense and was also an All-American in 2019.

Describe one of the most memorable plays of your collegiate career.

In the PSAC championship game last year, it was one of the first plays of the game. I wrapped up the running back and lifted him high into the air and threw him down on the turf with violence. This set the tone for the game defensively.

Do you have a favorite athlete or professional team? Is there a player that you model your game after?

My favorite player is Aaron Donald, and my favorite team is the Pittsburgh Steelers. Aaron Donald is unstoppable and every D-lineman should want to be like him.

Who is your favorite music artist? What gets you pumped before a game?

My favorite artist is Dababy or Travis Scott. Before games, I do not really change my playlists to pump up songs. If I like the music it doesn’t matter the situation as long as I’m vibing.

What is your favorite comfort food?

Ichiban Hibachi

Chad Kuhn racked up 4.5 sacks in one game in 2018

Do you have a favorite movie or actor?

My favorite actor is Will Smith, but my favorite movie is Friday Night Lights.

What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies?

I fish frequently as a hobby, but I just like to hang out with my friends.

Who or what motivates you the most?

My motivation is to just be the best I can possibly be. I never want to leave a stone unturned. When I am done playing I want to think that I gave every last piece of myself to the game.
