Imagine the Bucs trading OJ Howard to the Redskins and a pick for OT Trent Williams?
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on a build-to-win-now plan and it is looking pretty amazing on paper. First the team landed Tom Brady, then yesterday the Buccaneers landed Rob Gronkowski from the Patriots.
Now, the Buccaneers are stacked in their tight ends room with Cameron Brate who has over 15 touchdowns in the past three years, OJ Howard who has reportedly been on the trade block for some time and Rob Gronkowski.
A couple months ago, the Buccaneers had a discussion with the Redskins involving tight end O.J. Howard, but what if that is the game plan?
Think about it, the Buccaneers biggest problem right now is keeping Tom Brady upright. If they can somehow land an offensive tackle like Trent Williams for a mid round pick and O.J. Howard, they can then turn focus to the draft.
Imagine them landing Trent Williams, Tom Brady, and Rob Gronkowski, then drafting CeeDee Lamb to play the slot and a running back like JK Dobbins in the second?
I am sorry but that offense would be nasty. Trent Williams is not happy and the Buccaneers make too much sense at this point.
