Nicholls State All-Conference running back arrested for failure to appear in court
Julien Gums, 20, the All-Conference running back of Nicholls State was arrested after he failed to show up in a Thibodaux City Court for a theft charge from 2019. The alleged theft was investigated by Nicholls State University Police in May 2019.
Gums broke out his sophomore season leading the team with 1,232 yards rushing on 214 carries and scored a team-high 16 touchdowns and was named to the All-Southland Conference first team. He was one of the main reasons the team won the SLC title and advance to the second round of the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs for the second year in a row.
This is really hurts Gums, he has NFL talent but will need to address these legal matters.
