Boise State lands FCS kicker Jonny Messina

Stetson Grad Transfer Jonny Messina is leaving Florida to play for Boise State.

Boise State is landing an FCS grad transfer kicker who is pretty darn good. I do not know how this was passed over by myself, but Stetson kicker Jonny Messina will transfer to Boise State and kick for the Broncos. Jonny made the announcement on his Twitter account.

Extremely excited and blessed to be continuing my football career at Boise State University! Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way. Also, thank you to @CoachZAlley @CoachHarsin @esachse38 for this opportunity! Ready to get to WORK! GO BRONCOS‼️?? #BleedBlue pic.twitter.com/vBMwr3DUs5

Messina career in field goals

  • 2017 – 9/15 FG’s with 17 PAT’s
  • 2018 – 10/11 FG’s with 40 PAT’s
  • 2019 – 15/19 FG’s with 41 PAT’s

Messina’s longest kicker was a 46 yarder in 2019 against NC Wesleyan. The 5080, 170 pound kicker from Olympia High School in Orlando, Florida is a stud kicker. This is a great move for him!
