Meet 2020 XFL Prospect: Channing Stribling, DB, Seattle Dragons

Channing Stribling was one of our favorite defensive backs in the XFL this season for the Seattle Dragons, and he recently sat down with NFL Draft Diamonds writer Justin Berendzen for this amazing interview. With the XFL wrapped up now, the prospects in the XFL have a chance to sign with an NFL team. Whether Channing rejoins an NFL team or remains with the XFL he is a prospect you need to keep an eye on. 1. What would a team get in a player like you?

Hardworker, a guy who loves to play the game of football because of the competitive nature.

2. Who is your favorite musical artist?

I really don’t have one, I like whoever can create the best visuals in their music. But depending on what my mood is that day, i will either have an R&B playlist or Hip Hop one to listen to. 

3. How was your experience in the XFL year one?

Year one was great. Everyone had their own unique fans which brought out the best of the league. (STL with the dome, Seattle with the weather)

4. What is your goal for your football career going forward?

My goal going forward in my football career is to continue to learn new tools to better my game. For example, learning different defenses that will potentially be ran by NFL defenses.

5. What is your favorite snack?

Unfrosted Strawberry Pop Tarts.

6. If you could live anywhere in the world where and why,

Anywhere in the south, for the weather and southern hospitality.

7. What is your favorite movie?

Space Jam, I used to watch it over and over on VHS when I was younger.

8. Most interesting teammate from anywhere you’ve played and why

Arnold Tarpley III from Memphis Express AAF. His lingo and mindset combo is very unique.

9. What do you do for fun?

Play Video Games (2k, PubG, Call of Duty)

10. What is the favorite thing that the XFL did?

Extra point system was fun. Forced teams to work for those extra points.

11. Who do you model your game after?

Richard Sherman. I try to use my technique and football I.Q. to put me in the best positions to make plays.

12. If you were an animal which animal would you be and why?

Jaguar. Has always been my favorite animals because of it’s balance of speed and power. The unsung hero of the animal kingdom
