83 of the 131 small schoolers drafted in the XFL Draft remain on rosters

63 percent of the players drafted from a small school made the final rosters and are still on the rosters after week 1.

The coolest thing about the XFL is the fact that 131 small school football players heard their name called in the 2020 XFL Draft. While the Draft has been over and they played their first week, I wanted to look at how many small schoolers were still on the roster after the first week of the season.

The crazy thing is the breakdown of how many are still on the roster. The XFL has 83 small schoolers on their roster and after breaking it down we found out that every division of football has a player on a roster.

FCS has 50 players on current rosters in the XFL, while D2 is second with 24. That is a pretty amazing statistic. Add in the fact that there are 6 players on current rosters from D3 Football and 1 from the NAIA. Shoot even two JUCO schools have a player in the XFL. Nick Truesdell was a first round pick in the XFL Draft and he attended a JUCO school.

I love watching small school football and any time a kid can get a second shot at living out his dream you have to get excited. I mean 63 percent of the players drafted from a small school are still on a roster!
