High School Senior Prospect Spotlight: Grant Fuciu, WR, Hoover High School (OH)

NFL Draft Diamonds has specialized in finding talent at the small school football level and I want to focus on one high school player a week that could use a boost in the recruiting process. This week, one of my followers on Twitter sent me his film, and I thought it would cool to help him. The Hoover High School senior Grant Fuciu sat down with Draft Diamonds owner Damond Talbot.

What school do you attend?

  • Hoover High School

What were your stats like this year as a Senior?

  • 11 catches for 236 yards and three touchdowns
  • 1 two-point conversion

If a college coach was reading this right now what would be the first thing you would tell him about yourself?

  • I’m the hardest worker in the room and that I earn everything. All I need is one opportunity and you will not be disappointed.

What is your favorite route on the route tree?

  • Corner, Post, and Out

What do you think is your biggest weakness?

  • My biggest weakness is not always breaking down and getting low on cuts. I sometimes let my heart cloud my judgment and try to do things that won’t always work but what I think will help us win.

Who is your favorite player to watch the film on to better your craft?

  • My favorite player to watch is definitely Michael Thomas. His routes are perfect and he doesn’t ever drop passes.

If you were to criticize your own game where can you improve?

  • I can improve my route cuts and the ability to breakdown.

What schools have offered you so far?

  • Muskingum University and Grove City College

What is your dream offer?

  • In reality, I think I can be a great asset and impact player at the D2 level. I would like a college with a good business program and a minor in pre-law, but I am flexible. I know I can help any college program right away with my skillset and work ethic.

What would your coach say about you if I was to ask him?

  • My coach would say I really blossomed under the coaching staff and training throughout the four years. It was not until they really gave me a chance that I became the player I am today.

Do you have a highlight you want to share with our readers?

  •  Here is my 2019 highlight tape for my senior year/.

Quick Round Game!

  • Spongebob Squarepants or ICarly?
  • Ranch or Blue Cheese?
  • Pizza or Burger?
  • NBA or MLB?
  • J Cole or Drake?
  • Michael Jordan or Lebron James?
  • Pepsi or Coke?
