Eli Rogers played today’s XFL game while his Mother’s funeral was happening
Some football players want to make it really bad, and that is what is special about the XFL. It allows players to gain film and helps them prepare to get back to the NFL. Eli Rogers played in the NFL for quite some time including time with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
While Rogers is not currently in the NFL he is on an XFL roster and one of the better wide outs in the league. This week Eli Rogers lost his Mother, who passed away near the end of the week. He had a decision to go to the funeral or attend the game.
Eli Rogers played in today’s game and finished the game with 5 receptions for 49 yards. He also helped his team get the win.
When an NFL team sees how bad this kid wants it they will have no choice but to give him a shot. To miss your own Mother’s funeral is tough, but I am sure she would have wanted him to continue his dream. So sad, please keep Eli and his family in your prayers, and Congrats on the win brother!
