Buffalo Bills need to be big time spenders in Free Agency this year

Imagine if the Bills paired Yannick Ngaukoe up with Jerry Hughes? Then added Vic Beasley and AJ Green with Hunter Henry? This Bills team has the money, they just need to add it in the right places.

The Buffalo Bills have a young team and they are not far off from really taking over the AFC East. This year, we saw a huge decline in the New England Patriots and an aging Tom Brady who is currently a free agent this year. The Bills need to really sign a couple players to really help Josh Allen and I feel this year they can make a few splashes to help their team out. Let’s check out how I feel they should spend their 85 million in cap space.

A.J. Green – The 32 year old wide receiver is still one of the best in the game. I do not care if he is older, he is a guy you can add right now who can help mold a younger wide out. I think the Bills should sign him to a three year deal and pay him around 15 million per year. The Bills have the cap space and need a true number 1. AJ Green can help a player like Josh Allen grow. His knowledge is super important for the Bills new signal caller.

Hunter Henry – The Buffalo Bills need to add more weapons for Josh Allen. Hunter Henry is young and he has had several injuries but this kid could come in and give Josh Allen another weapon. Adding weapons for Josh Allen is key. Henry is a huge target who can create mismatches in the secondary. Bills are paying 6.25 million for Tyler Kroft and Henry is ten times better than Kroft. I think the Bills will have to sign him to a four year deal worth around 35 million. It know it is a bit pricey but Henry and Knox could be huge for Allen’s success.

Yannick Ngakoue – The Bills are going to have to spend some stupid money on him but he is going to replace Shaq Lawson and this kid is ten times the pass rusher Lawson is. Ngakoue and Jerry Hughes on the other side would be a nightmare for opposing quarterbacks. The Bills have the money to do this and they will have to make a splash at DE if they want to win now.

Vic Beasley – The Buffalo Bills are losing Lorenzo Alexander and I know Vic Beasley has not really been the stud many thought he would be in the pros, but the guy has too much potential and he is only 28 years old. Beasley has 37.5 sacks in his career, and this past year had 70 tackles which is the best he has had since 2016. I think the Bills need to wait on him and offer him a two year deal worth 16 million. It is fair and I doubt he lands huge money on the market.

Artie Burns – Burns reminds me of a Sean McDermott type of player. The story has McDermott all over it. The Bills have a decent secondary but Burns is young at 25 and can be signed to a three year deal on the cheap. I could see him in a Bills uniform and competing for the starting cornerback position across from Tre’Davious White. Burns is physical and while he has struggled in Pittsburgh he could compete on a very tough secondary.

Bills need to re-sign Quinton Spain, Kevin Johnson and Jordan Phillips as well. The Bills are not far off, but if they can add a couple players like the men mentioned above they could be ready to win a playoff game.
