Tell us about your university/college. What was your major/minor?
I major in Sport Management and minor in Business Administration. I chose Elon because of the family-oriented culture amongst the football team. I am a family-oriented man so it was a necessity in my decision to commit. In addition, Elon’s academic support staff is one of the best in the country, they played a major factor in my decision as well.
What do your teammates say is your best quality?
My teammates would say that I’m a very athletic team leader with a relentless motor. I give my all in every rep whether it’s in games or practice. I play football with the mentality of “see ball get ball.”
What kind of role do you see yourself in on the team? What scheme and/or position suits your skill set?
The role I see myself in on a team is being an edge rusher and special teams player giving 100% effort. The defensive scheme that can maximize my skill set is a 4-3 / 4-2-5 scheme.
Who is the best player you have ever played against in college?
Which one of your teammates impresses you the most?
If you didn’t play football, what other sport would you play?
If I didn’t play football, I would play lacrosse. In high school I played lacrosse for 4 years, and I helped my team to the third round of the NC state playoffs.
What is something that you are most proud of? What would you say is your biggest achievement?
I am most proud of changing the culture at Riverside High School in Durham, NC. My biggest accomplishment is becoming the all-time leader in sacks at Elon University.
Do you have a favorite athlete or professional team? Is there a player that you model your game after?
LeBron James is my favorite athlete. I model my game after Demarcus Lawrence with the mentality of Kobe Bryant.
Who is your favorite music artist? What gets you pumped before a game?
Roddy Ricch is one of my favorite music artists. What gets me ready before a game is listening to Everlasting God by William Murphy ft. Bishop James Morton.
What is your favorite comfort food?
Spaghetti or chicken alfredo
Do you have a favorite movie or actor?
My favorite movie is Django Unchained. I have too many favorite actors to narrow it down to one. Some of those actors are Jamie Foxx, Matthew McConaughey, Leonardo DiCaprio, Denzel Washington and Samuel Jackson.
What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies?
I play basketball and video games in my spare time. I like to spend time with my family, with them there is never a dull moment. It’s a guarantee to have smile on your face when with family.
Who or what motivates you the most?
My family is what motivates me the most. I have a huge support system, and it all starts with my parents. In addition, I have a huge family that’s always supported me since I was little, and that inspires me to do what I do.
