Can the Bills beat the Ravens this week? If they follow this recipe they can

The Baltimore Ravens have only lost two games this year. One to the Browns which is still shocking and the other to the Chiefs. I have been looking at the games and there are a few things I noticed. In both games they lost, the Ravens only gave the ball to Mark Ingram (12, 16) times.

While Mark Ingram scored three touchdowns against the Chiefs, and Lamar Jackson ran one in, he struggled to beat them in the passing game. Lamar Jackson threw the ball 43 times against the Chiefs (who have a suspect secondary) and only accounted for 267 yards in the air.

When the Ravens faced the Browns however Lamar Jackson threw the ball 34 times, and had 3 touchdowns, but also turned the ball over twice.

So you are probably say, ok so how can the Bills beat them? If the Bills want to win they are going to need help from their secondary and linebackers. The Browns leading tackler the game they played the Ravens was linebacker Joe Schobert who had 16 tackles. He also recorded a sack. Schobert was all over the field that game and it helped that his defensive backfield was swarming as well. The secondary including TJ Carrie, Jermaine Whitehead and Terrance Mitchell were all in the top 5 in tackles as well. They had a solid game from their defensive tackles stopping the run inside as well, and those turnovers were crucial for the Ravens.

The Chiefs top six tacklers were their defensive backs and their linebackers. Kendall Fuller led the team with 8 tackles, but Anthony Hitchens, Damien Wilson and Darron Lee accounted for 17 tackles. The Bills have some solid linebackers in Tremaine Edmunds, Matt Milano and Lorenzo Alexander. All of them can fly to the ball. They also can cover a lot of ground.

The Bills secondary led by Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer are solid tacklers. The Bills will need to stop the run and make Lamar Jackson beat them by throwing.

In both of these games, Lamar Jackson threw the ball 34 and 43 times. Lamar Jackson has only one 1 game when he threw the ball more than 34 times out of three games. The Ravens were able to hold off the Cardinals, with him throwing the ball 37 times.

The Ravens are a solid team, but when they turn the ball over they have a hard time recovering. Lamar Jackson only has 5 interceptions the whole year. They had 2 against Cleveland where they lost and three against the Steelers in which they won in overtime by a field goal. Another thing the Bills will have to do if they want to win is apply pressure. Lamar Jackson has only been sacked 21 times all year, but get this he was sacked 5 times against the Steelers in which they hung on in overtime, he was sacked 4 times against the Browns in which he lost and 3 times by the Chiefs in which they lost. Since then, he has not been sacked more than twice in a game, and that was back in the beginning of October.

The Bills are going to have to apply pressure to Lamar Jackson, force turnovers, and stop the run. If the Bills can turn the Ravens into a one dimensional team they can beat them, the thing is the Bills are going to have to score on offense as well.

The Ravens are not the best defensive unit, but they are no push over either. The Bills will have to bring their A game if they want to win, but they can definitely get a win against the Ravens if their defense shows up.
