HBCU Spirit of America Bowl: Week 10 Studs and Standouts

De’Montrez Burroughs, WR, South Carolina State Bulldogs – The 6020 wide receiver did it again this week. He made our list before and he is on the list again. The 6020 wide out went ham against North Carolina A&T catching 8 balls for 168 yards and 1 touchdown. The Bulldogs fell just short of NCAT but man was Burroughs tough.

Ryan Stanley, QB, Florida A&M Rattlers – The Pembroke Pines, Florida native was throwing the ball all over Delaware State. He looked great after sitting out the week before with shoulder pain. Stanley threw for 253 yards and four touchdowns to no interceptions. Stanley is looking like a very good player.

De’Andre Johnson, QB, Texas Southern Tigers – The 6020 gunslinger from Jacksonville, Florida is doing his thing. The Tigers lost to Grambling State but Johnson had a good game. He threw the ball for 351 yards and 1 touchdown. He is hitting Donnie Corley the junior wide out and let me tell you something he has my attention.

Shai McKenzie, RB, Hampton Pirates – He is on my list again. This is McKenzie’s 4th 100 yard game in a row. He has been on my HBCU list almost every week. He is slowly looking like the best running back in the HBCU. The Washington, PA native looks the part and I hope he comes to the HBCU Spirit of America Bowl, because he is special.

Terrell Kennedy, WR, Jackson State Tigers – The 5110 wide out from Mobile, Alabama had a big game against Arkansas Pine-Bluff this past weekend. He finished with 3 receptions for 119 yards and one touchdown. Jackson State was able to pull off the win against UAPB and move to 3-1 in the SWAC.
