What the Jaguars do at quarterback could determine their head coaches fate

Nick Foles has returned to practice and is throwing the ball, but will he be given the keys to the car again over rookie Gardner Minshew?

The Jacksonville Jaguars have a huge decision coming up, and if they make the wrong move it could cost their head coach Doug Marrone his job. Right now the Jaguars are 3-4 and still have a chance at winning their division, but the problem is the Jaguars may have a tough decision in a couple weeks. The question is:

Do they stick with the emerging rookie Gardner Minshew as their starter or hand the job back to veteran Nick Foles?

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media Insiders, Nick Foles who suffered a broken collarbone is returning to practice this week on a limited basis.

Foles is eligible to play after Week Nine, but Marrone was focused on building Foles up in practice rather than any plans for the starting lineup.

“We’ve got time, so we’ll just kind of gradually work him back in there,” Marrone said, via the team’s website. “I know he has been throwing on the side. I just want to make sure we’re good with the reps and building it up, not trying to do too much too fast. We’ll be smart this week and then we’ll see how it progresses.”

Do you think the Jaguars should let Foles return to the starter? I mean Minshew has been doing great. The problem is the Jaguars spent so much money on Foles. If the Jaguars make the wrong decision they will hurt their rookie quarterback and could eventually set this team back. The Jaguars are playing hard right now, I am not sure I could mess that up.

I personally would play Minshew until I felt things were going wrong then replace him with Nick Foles.

If Doug Marrone messes it up he could be gone!
