As an athlete, what is your motivation?

All the people who overlooked me and proving to everyone else what I already know for myself, that I deserve everything that’s coming to me. I also do everything for my family, so giving 100% I step on the field is the least I can do. They’ve given up so much for me, I want the world for them.

What defines success for you?

Success for me is havnig peace of mind. This comes from the direct result of knowing I did my best to become the best form of myself I can be. Success also comes from being happy with whatever you’re doing.

What would your teammates say about the type of teammate you are?

I will do whatever it takes to win. I’m a team first guy, who always puts his teammates above himself. I lead by my play on the field and won’t accept less than 100% from anybody.

What are some of your personal “rules” that you never break?

Finish what you started. Never back down from a challenge. Taking the easy way out will hurt you in the long run.

Who is the toughest player you’ve competed against during your collegiate career?

He played on offense so I didn’t personally line up against him, but Keelan Cole on Kentucky Wesleyan was and still is a dog. Donald Payne on Stetson was as well.

Who is the best player in the NFL?

Julio Jones. Pound for pound I believe he is the most gifted player in the league.

What is your team of choice on Madden, why?

Chiefs. Tyreek Hill is a cheat code!

Failure is inevitable in life. How do you handle situations that don’t go in your favor?

You face them head-on. You cannot be scared to fail. Failure is a part of success. I never shy away from pressure, it’s what molds me into becoming a better player. I love a challenge.

Is there a current/former NFL player that you model your game after?

Steve Smith Sr.

Knowing what you do now, what would you go back and tell yourself as a High-School Freshman?

Make sure you get in the weight room early. Act like you’ve been there before. And you can’t be afraid of failing, it’s just a part of the process.

What is your go-to restaurant near campus?

Iron Grill. Or Bojangles, of course.

If your life was a book, what would its title be?

“The Autobiography of Will Wicks.”

What song or artist do you like but rarely admit to liking?

I really like Ed Sheeran’s music. Not many people know that.

If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, living or deceased, who would it be and why?

LeBron James. He is the greatest athlete of all time and I want to know what it felt like to grow up with all the pressure om the world and still rise to the top.

Forty-years from now, what do you want to be remembered for?

Using whatever platform I have to make a positive impact on the world. I want to look back at my life and know people listened and took into consideration what I had to say. If I can inspire just one person, I’ve done my job. Being a 10 year NFL vet with a winning catch in the Super Bowl wouldn’t be too bad either.

In 15 words or less, why should an NFL team invest in you?

You will not regret it. I am a game-changer, and play-makers make plays.
