People are sleeping on the Buffalo Bills so far this season

Pancho Billa will be honored before the Bills and Bengals game in Orchard Park, NY

As you know I am a diehard Buffalo Bills fan, and to have my team 2-0 after two weeks I am excited. I feel they are being slept on by many in the media as well as other teams. People are saying that their wins were not impressive because they faced the New York Jets and the New York Giants, but let’s look at those two games before you say the Bills are not good.

As you know I am a die-hard Buffalo Bills fan, and to have my team 2-0 after two weeks I am excited. I feel many in the media are sleeping them on. People are saying that their wins were not impressive because they faced the New York Jets and the New York Giants, but let’s look at those two games before you say the Bills are not good.

The Bills played the Jets and were getting whooped because of four turnovers, but the poise and abilities of second-year quarterback Josh Allen led the Bills back for a huge win in New Jersey. Allen really looked the part and led his team of hard workers back into the game. Allen had a 64 percent completion rate and while he threw two interceptions and fumbled the ball, to overcome that for a young quarterback is something special. To get the win is even better. The Bills defense was nasty the entire game, and they did just enough to get the “W”.

When you go on to week 2, the Giants and Eli Manning were exactly who we thought they were. Allen threw for a 63 percent completion percentage and had one rushing touchdown as well as one passing touchdown. The Bills ran the ball well this past week and shined on defense. It was such a bad showing for the Giants offense (which was banged up) that they have pulled Eli Manning and replaced him with rookie Daniel Jones for week 3.

The Bills are not getting any love though. People are expecting them to beat these teams. This week the Bills host the Bengals who are without A.J. Green. The Bengals are also off to an 0-2 start and look rough with losses to the 49ers and Seahawks. Both have a very solid defense but Dalton put up some big numbers. Dalton is averaging 360 yards per game passing, and he is going to be throwing the ball on the Bills as well. The Bengals have faced two undefeated teams. Both the Seahawks and 49ers are undefeated and now they will face the undefeated Bills.

This is no pushover game for the Bills. Yes, they are at home. Yes, they are doing a tribute to long-time Buffalo Bills fan and legend Pancho Billa who lost his fight last year to cancer, but they will need a little boost this week if they want to beat the Bengals. The Bengals offense is legit, they are putting up big points, and the Bills defense has had some moments where they let big plays go. The Bills will need solid play from Josh Allen and his wide-outs if they want to beat the Bengals.

The good thing is if the Bills can win today, the odds of them making the playoffs goes from 49.7 percent chance to 75.6 percent chance according to most betting sites. Another thing is the odds of the Bills playoff hopes will likely change from the +290 that they are given right now by Oddshark. The Bills will face the Patriots next week in Buffalo, but they better not look past the 0-2 Bengals. If the Bengals somehow lose today their chances of making the playoffs would drop to a 2.3 percent, which could mean the end of Andy Dalton in Cincinnati.

It is hard to prepare for a team when they are 0-2 because they have nothing to lose. When the Bills show up today at New Era Field they better be ready to fight. Pancho Billa went down swinging and fought more than ever. He also did it with courage, and pride for his favorite team. He is still encouraging others with Pancho Packs, a book bag filled with supplies for underprivileged children. The Bills need to go out and get it done today, by beating the Bengals and giving Pancho something to smile down about! Let’s Go Bills, Do it for Pancho!
