As an athlete, what is your motivation?

For me my motivation is my mother. She is the strongest woman I know, and I want to work hard for her. She pushes through a lot in life, and I want to have the courage she has.

What defines success for you?

Success is when you know you have done as much physically that you can do towards a goal.

What would your teammates say about the type of teammate you are?

I would hope they would see me as a leader, and know that I will go through anything, and do as much as I can for our team to be successful.

What are some of your personal “rules” that you never break?

My strength coach talks about being disciplined during season, or training. I try to abstain from going out during season, and off-season.

Who is the toughest player you’ve competed against during your collegiate career?

The best player I have seen out there is Khalen Saunders (DL – Western Illinois University – 2014-2018). He played on the other guard most of my career, but when I went against him you could tell he was an NFL guy.

Who is the best player in the NFL?

Zack Martin.

What is your team of choice on Madden, why?

I don’t play a whole lot of Madden, so whoever has good running backs, so probably Dallas and Los Angeles Rams.

Failure is inevitable in life. How do you handle situations that don’t go in your favor?

For me, failure is learning and growing. I have been through failure time and time again, and I try and see it as opportunity to grow.

Is there a current/former NFL player that you model your game after?

Numerous players, Zack Martin from the Cowboys, Quentin Nelson of the Colts, Brian Winters with the Jets, just to name a few. There are so many really good guards in the NFL that I got a guy that I like to watch tape of all the time.

Knowing what you do now, what would you go back and tell yourself as a High-School Freshman?

Keep on working, and do not take anything for granted.

What is your go-to restaurant near campus?

The Horny Toad.

If your life was a book, what would its title be?

“Relentless.”

What song or artist do you like but rarely admit to liking?

I love Nickelback, I have no idea why everyone hates on them.

If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, living or deceased, who would it be and why?

Joe thomas. I would like too here about his mindset and how to be a pro from one of the greats.

Forty-years from now, what do you want to be remembered for?

I want to be remembered for being the best at what I do, and a guy that you needed on a team.

In 15 words or less, why should an NFL team invest in you?

I will do what it takes to win, whatever it takes mentally or physically in preparation to win.
