2020 NFL Draft Scouting Report: D’Andre Swift, RB, University of Georgia

NFL Draft Diamonds newest addition Bryan Ault has joined our scouting team and he put together this quick scouting report on Georgia RB D’Andre Swift
  • Name: D’Andre Swift
  • Position: RB
  • College: Georgia
  • Exposures: Florida, LSU (2018)
  • Height: 5’9”
  • Weight: 218

Notes: 163 carries for 1,049 yards and 10 touchdowns; caught 32 passes for 297 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Strengths:

Physically strong and mentally tough ballcarrier who lowers his shoulder and finishes forward on contact.  He has excellent vision, great change-of-direction, and the ability to make defenders miss, can wiggle through the gaps and maximize every carry.  Strong in short yardage.  Can drop back in pass protection and likes to hit people.  Has a nice stiff arm and good balance in space, and frequently requires multiple defenders to bring down.

Weaknesses:

Does not strike me as a consistent home-run threat who can go the distance.  Lacks top-end speed and extra gear.
