NFL Draft Diamonds Partners with the College Gridiron Showcase for 2020
July 17, 2019 – The College Gridiron Showcase is pleased to announce its new partnership with NFL Draft Diamonds. CGS (College Gridiron Showcase) will take place January 4th – 8th, in Fort Worth Texas, as the first “All-Star” type event of the 2020 college football post-season.
Created in 2015 by co-founders Jose Jefferson and Craig Redd, this unique showcase and symposium, provides exposure and education for top college seniors from around the country. Going into its 6th year, CGS continues to grow as a trusted source for “under the radar” football players. Players that are looking to gain additional exposure as well as be evaluated by professional teams in a more exclusive setting than what other college “All-Star” type events provide.
NFL Draft Diamonds was created in 2010 to help small school football players have a platform. Owner Damond Talbot has worked with the East/West Shrine Game as well as the Raycom All-Star Game and is extremely excited to partner with the College Gridiron Showcase. NFL Draft Diamonds has worked with some of the top small school prospects in the NFL and will continue to work on helping the players gain exposure for the next level.
“Working with Craig and Jose will be amazing in 2020. So many small school players are overlooked every year, and the CGS has been beneficial because of the amount of scouts present at their event. I am very excited for my team at NFL Draft Diamonds to work with the CGS and hope we can help the players gain even more exposure.”
The new partnership with NFL Draft Diamonds is a major step forward for CGS, as it will help to ensure that these young athletes receive the additional exposure they deserve heading into their pro day, the combine, and the draft.
“CGS is thrilled to be partnering with NFL Draft Diamonds. Our mindsets are in line with each other as to what our common goal is, and that’s to help young athletes reach the next level with experience and knowledge”, stated CGS co-founder Jose Jefferson.
CGS attendees are selected by a panel of football experts throughout the season, and will come in for 5 days and 4 nights, to be evaluated by pro football scouts representing the XFL, CFL, and NFL. Attendees receive professional football and life coaching, mentoring, and seminars that will benefit them as they move forward in their professional lives, both on and off the field.
CGS implements an OTA (Organized Team Activity) style format for football professionals and scouts, that showcases the athlete through a series of practices, drills, and a controlled scrimmage at the end of the week. Players also attend meetings and seminars conducted by special guest speakers, who have first hand knowledge and experience of the “Path to the Draft”, and have had successful careers at a professional level. Attendees also have the opportunity for personal interviews with the scouts and executives from the professional organizations listed above.
