How are these players still sitting at home? This makes no sense

Florida OT Martez Ivey was projected by many as a fourth round pick. The kid is still unsigned, how is this happening. What do I not know about him?

This has been the wildest NFL Draft season ever. I do not know if it is because 55 roster spots were taken up by the players in the Alliance American Football League (AAF) or if it is because the players were just not good enough, but I am having a problem that some of these players are still sitting at home.

I know I focus on small schoolers, but there are some studs that were in big schools who are still out there as well.  Let’s look at a few who still have not signed.

Martez Ivey, OT, Florida – He was the #2 rated player in the 2015 High School draft class.  He was a huge building block for the Florida Gators offensive line.  This kid had a workout with the Seahawks but was not signed. I am shocked he is still out there. I am sorry he could have been a draft pick, and I would have not been shocked.

Cece Jefferson, DE, Florida – Yes, I am from Florida but this is just wrong. Another 5 star player from my state who is sitting at home.  He amassed 123 total tackles, 34.5 for loss and 10.5 sacks.  All he earned was a workout with the Seahawks?  I am sorry, I know he is 6010, but this kid was a beast at Florida.  His weight was an issue, but he did play multiple positions during his tenure.  So this is a wild to me.

Trevon Brown, WR, East Carolina – I love this kid’s film. Scouts are saying his forty time may have hurt him, but who cares if he is always open. The guy was a machine at the wide receiver position going over 1000 yards. I feel NFL teams are too focused right now on speed to see the talent they are sleeping on.  Look at the film, it does not lie on this kid.

Mark Orozco, K, Grambling State – 15 NFL scouts came to his pro day and were blown away. The kid was crushing 52 yarders with yards to spare.  This kid crushed the Cowboys local day too. How is he at home? I am not sure, I love my Hispanic kickers and I feel this is a robbery. This kid deserves a shot right now.  There are teams that are dying for a kicker. Well if that is the case, you are not looking at the right one.

Tommy Dennis, OL, Penn – I love small schoolers and have to mention him. He is one of the nastiest Offensive Lineman I have scouted. The kid is a mauler, and while he earned a workout with the Giants, I feel he should be signed. This kid is everything you want in an offensive lineman. He can pull and he is a dog.
