Will the Dolphins TANK for Tua? Or is it Josh Rosen Time?

Could the Dolphins Tank of Tua? Many think they are in the green now that they landed Josh Rosen, but that not be the case

The Miami Dolphins signed Ryan Fitzpatrick after they traded away their former starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill to the Tennessee Titans. The Dolphins failed to address the quarterback position in the first round, but after the Cardinals selected Kyler Murray, the Dolphins seemed interested in their former first round pick Josh Rosen.

Rosen would eventually be traded for a late second round pick, and the Dolphins really were intelligent on how they planned their negotiating. They moved back trading with the Saints and then traded the Saints pick to the Cardinals in exchange for Josh Rosen. The wild thing is Josh Rosen was a former first-round pick. The former UCLA gunslinger seemed like a sure-fire guy to come in and compete for a starting job in Miami, but here is my question to you, is he the answer?

Here is the crazy thing, while I have nothing against the Dolphins, many criticized Josh Rosen because he was sacked 45 times. Arizona’s offensive line was ranked as the 31st best on Pro Football Focus for the 2018 season, Miami’s was 32nd. So that brings me to my next question.

Will the Dolphins Tank for Tua?

Expect to see “Tank for Tua” campaigns emerging from multiple fan bases in the fall. The Heisman Trophy runner-up will compare to Kyler Murray. Tagovailoa will be scrutinized for his height, even though he measured in at just over 6-0 and 230 pounds.

Rosen is now set to go to a team who has basically rid themselves of tons of talent starting with Ryan Tannehill and ending with Frank Gore, Danny Amendola, Josh Sitton, Ja’Wuan James, Cameron Wake, Robert Quinn, William Hayes, and Andre Branch. New Dolphins coach Brian Flores says they’re not tanking, but it is hard to think the Dolphins are serious about winning when they did nothing to help their new quarterback.

No team has lower odds at winning the Super Bowl next year. Rosen will battle Ryan Fitzpatrick for the starting role on an offense that can’t block and doesn’t have many weapons. So with that being said, we could see Josh Rosen get screwed over by a team two years in a row….. OUCH!
