Former Oregon WR prevents another school shooting

Keanon Lowe the former Oregon Ducks wide receiver from Portland, Oregon stopped a school shooting today by tackling a gunman near the school.

A person spotted with a gun near Parkrose High School is in custody after the school’s football coach, former University of Oregon football player Keanon Lowe, tackled him and wrestled him to the ground, according to Oregon Live.

There are no injuries or additional suspects, according to police. Officers responded to the school at 11:48 a.m.

The confrontation between the armed person and Lowe occurred near the school’s tennis courts, police said. Officers recovered the man’s gun at the scene.

Lowe a former wide receiver for the Ducks graduated in 2014, and stands at 5090 and 190 pounds. The little wide out put his life on the line today for his school and should be deemed a hero. That is amazing, Great Job COACH!!
