Tiki Barber agrees with the Giants trading Odell Beckham Jr.

Former New York Giants running back Tiki Barber says trading Odell Beckham Jr. was the right thing to do

When Odell Beckham Jr. was traded to the Cleveland Browns, everyone was scorching the Giants for the trade. Everyone was making a huge deal out of it saying the Browns stole Beckham Jr.

That may be the case, but at the end of the day, the Giants had to do what they thought was best. No one really agrees with the trade, but one former Giants player is now coming out and saying the trade was the right thing to do.

Former G-Men RB Tiki Barber recently weighed in on the blockbuster trade that went down in March:

“I think Odell wanted to go and [general manager] Dave Gettleman and the New York Giants acquiesced,” Barber said, per Zach Braziller of the New York Post.” “He’s in a better place. And I think it may actually be OK for the Giants he’s not here.”

Barber further elaborated:

“He wasn’t reaching his potential. He felt like he was being constrained, either by the offensive play-calling or whatever it may have been. He wasn’t happy.”

He wasn’t reaching his potential? I do not know if that is a shot at the quarterback play, coaching or Beckham, but either way at least one person agrees with the trade.
