NFL Draft

Odds for Defensive Rookie of the Year favor Nick Bosa, but history doesn’t

I am not sure who will win the defensive rookie of the year award, but do not be shocked if Ed Oliver makes a strong case.

The NFL Draft is over and now betting odds are available to wager some cash on who will win the Defensive Rookie of the Year aware.

While Nick Bosa has the best odds to win the award, history does not favor him. The first defender off the board has only won DROY once in the last seven years. Get this the last one to win the award was his brother (Joey Bosa in 2016).

11 of the last 12 DROY awards went to first-round picks, but last year’s Darius Leonard won as a second-round pick in 2018.

Ten of the last 12 winners were selected in the top 15 of their draft – Marcus Peters went 18th overall, Leonard was 36th, so who do you think will win the award?
