Biggest Losers of Free Agencies Tampering Period

Le’Veon Bell is the biggest loser in Free Agency if you ask me. His music was horrible, he did not get the amount he was looking for, and he had one team bidding for him the entire time.

Every year we want to talk about who are the winners of Free Agency, but right now I think it would be better if we talked about who are the biggest losers of free agency.  Every year we see millions of dollars thrown around, but I want to focus on a couple huge losers in the 2019 free agency period and I want you to tweet us @DraftDiamonds to tell us who your biggest losers are!

Le’Veon Bell – In February of 2018, Le’Veon Bell made a comment that he would play for the New York Jets if they paid him 100 million dollars, and one year later we are finding out that he signed for 54.5 million over four years.  The man screwed himself trying to be bigger than the game itself. The Steelers offered him way more money and he ended up accepting less money and only had one team interested in him.  The same team he wanted to collect 100 million for he collects half of that. This guy lost tons of money sitting out. **Players pay attention**

New York Giants – I am not sure I understand David Gettlemen, but it sounds as if he is trying to clear up some cap space and some ego in the locker room.  He traded Olivier Vernon, and Odell Beckham Jr., and also let Landon Collins walk in free agency. He landed in return, a very solid offensive lineman in Kevin Zeitler, Jabrill Peppers, and a bunch of draft picks.  This is a rebuild, I get it, but how do you let your stars keep walking?

New York Jets – The New York Jets lost out on their biggest need a center because they were so focused on Le’Veon Bell.  Matt Paradis took a deal with the Carolina Panthers, leaving the Jets without a center for their rookie quarterback. Then they signed Anthony Barr who claimed he became sick in the middle of the night, and decided to return to Minnesota rather than playing with the Jets.  The Jets ended up with Le’Veon Bell, overpaying for CJ Mosley and a very solid slot receiver in Jamison Crowder.

Pittsburgh Steelers – The Pittsburgh Steelers just lost their two biggest players, and while it may not hurt them, they could have did this year’s ago and landed so much more in return. Antonio Brown for a 3rd and 5th round pick was a steal for Oakland, and it will hurt the Steelers. They also signed a cornerback from the worst passing defense in the NFL. I do not like what the Steelers have done so far, please fix something.

Baltimore Ravens – The Baltimore Ravens lost their entire team. They have a rookie quarterback and did nothing to help him. All they did was let their entire defense walk away. They lost Eric Weddle, Terrell Suggs, CJ Mosley, Za’Darius Smith and John Brown. Now they are going to put a bunch of pressure on their rookie quarterback and expect them to lead him to the playoffs.
