Draft Prospect Jeffery Simmons releases a statement on his torn ACL
Mississippi State defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons tore his left ACL, and today he released a statement regarding his most recent setback.
Simmons, who had 30 tackles for loss and seven sacks during the past two seasons at Mississippi State is considered one of the top available defensive linemen in the draft. He had previously been informed that he would not receive an invitation to the NFL Combine due to the league’s rule regarding issues of violence.
