Green Bay Packers draft needs: 5 small schoolers who can turn the Packers around
The Green Bay Packers have the best quarterback in the NFL according to some, but they have so many holes on their team. While Aaron Rodgers is fun to watch on television there are some gaping holes the Packers must address in the draft, and we found five small school players who can come in right now and help fill that void. We believe the Packers team needs are Edge Rusher, Safety, Defensive End, Guard, and Wide Receiver.
Thomas Costigan, Edge, Bryant University – The Packers love long haired freaks off the edge, and Costigan reminds me of a young Clay Matthews. Costigan was a tackling machine for Bryant racking up 100’s of tackles in his college career and he is a guy that has a knack for getting after the quarterback. Costigan will likely be a priority free agent signing but this kid is fun to watch. You have to love 6030, 240-pound backers with speed off the edge.
Robbie Grimsley, S, North Dakota State University – Grimsley is a 6000 safety who brings the boom at the safety position. He too will likely be a free agent in the upcoming 2019 NFL Draft, but Grimsley is a guy to keep an eye on. He is hard hitting and a guy who can track down the ball. He fits the Packers mold.
Connor Christian, DL, Jacksonville State University – Connor Christian is a kid that can play multiple spots on the defensive line. He has great moves, and his power is phenomenal. I think this kid is a steal in the NFL Draft, and the Packers can likely sign him as a priority free agent. They better keep an eye on him because he is a sleeper for real!
Nate Trewyn, OG, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater – The Packers love to stay in the hometown state, and Nate Trewyn is a kid to remember. NFL scouts are drooling over him and all 32 teams have been in to take notes. Trewyn is a perfect gritty, and mean mauler for the Packers front and they may have to spend a late round pick on him to secure him for their future plans.
Jazz Ferguson, WR, Northwestern State (LA) – Jazz Ferguson is a kid that NFL teams better keep an eye on. Last year the Packers struck gold in a Marquez Valdez-Scandling, and Jazz Ferguson is the same type of player. Ferguson
