Dallas Cowboys draft needs: 5 small schoolers who can turn the Cowboys around

The Cowboys have Ezekiel Elliott and last year they were dominating in the later part of the year. Add in these small schoolers and they are back on top of the East for a while.

The Dallas Cowboys looked like a new team after they added Amari Cooper from the Raiders. The Cowboys are a few players away and they will be back at the top of the East for a long time. This team has all the key players in place they just need a few depth players and we think we can help them out. We feel these five areas are their biggest needs at this point: Defensive End, Defensive Tackle, Tight End, Wide Receiver, and Cornerback. Let’s get started!

Darryl Johnson, DE, North Carolina A&T – Johnson declared for the NFL draft early as a junior, but he has everything you want in a pass rusher. He is a 6060, 240 pound pass rusher who had 10.5 sacks this past year. Johnson and Lawrence across from one another would be nasty and he can be had for a late round pick as it stands right now!

Jay Tee Tiuli, DT, Eastern Washington – Jay Tee stands at 6040 and weighs 330 pounds. He is a force in the middle of the field. Much like Star Lotulelei for the Bills, he will allow the Cowboys linebackers to make plays up front. He is a beast and can play in several techniques on the defensive line. Tiuli could sneak into the later rounds but right now I view him as a priority free agent.

Logan Parker, TE, Southern Utah – Parker is a silent riser for NFL teams. Many feel he will be a priority free agent, but the 6040 tight end has soft hands and can stretch the field. He will need to add some weight but he can play. He will likely be a priority free agent, and a steal for any team that signs him.

Keelan Doss, WR, UC Davis – The Cowboys will need to spend a draft pick on Doss because his stock is rising, but if you add a player like Doss opposite of Amari Cooper and can somehow keep Beasley for the slot the Cowboys would be nasty. Doss is a pure number 1 in my opinion and could go as high as the third round. He will warrant a mid-round pick but he is worth it.

Darius Williams, CB, Colorado State Pueblo – The 6000 corner is physical and one of the best division 2 players. Williams is worth of a draft pick and will likely slide out the draft as a priority free agent. The Cowboys can come in and swoop him up and get a steal. I like this pick up for them.
