Five players who earned money on the first night of AAF

AAF had five players who really jumped off the tape and we wanted to recognize them for the first night of the season.

We have football and we might as well talk about it. Some complained about the talent, but this is a developmental league folks, even though they do not want to call it that. You are not going to see the Tom Brady’s of the NFL in the game, but this game had some solid players. I want to showcase five players who really made a name for themselves last night in the first AAF games of the year.

Terrance Garvin – Orlando Apollos LB was a force and dominated the entire game. He had over 10 tackles, a sack and a pick six. He was a solid player and someone that likely made some money last night.

Earl Okine – Orlando Apollos DE was a freak off the edge. He looked fast and long. NFL teams will take a liking to that, he was a force for the Apollos and because of him and Ryan Davis Sr. the Atlanta offense looked suspect.

Akeem Hunt – Orlando Apollos RB was a quick back that looked the part. He had speed could catch out the backfield and really is not afraid of contact. Orlando put up 40 points too, which is because they controlled the tempo of the game.

Mekale McKay – San Antonio Commanders WR is a big target and NFL teams have to be taking notice. He was targeted 12 times last night and finished with 81 yards receiving. He looked the part and one long pass that he hauled in was called back but it was pretty.

Ja’Quan Gardner – San Diego Fleet RB looked the part last night, he had a great run of 25 yards and had explosiveness. Gardner was a fun player to watch last night, and while there were many others who balled out these guys in my opinion made some money.
