Tell us about your hometown, and what you love most about it?

My hometown is not small but it’s not big. I’m from Victoria, Texas a town down south. It is one of those places you either know or you don’t know where it is. The people there are nice and It is easy to connect with people of all races. What I love most about it is the friendly competitive nature of the sports and rival high schools.

List these three in order of importance and why: Film Study, Strength and Conditioning and Practice?

I think film is the most important because you are preparing yourself for competition. Finding your opponents weaknesses and strengths, then making a game plan to execute towards a win. Second is practice because that’s were you take the game plan to the field and rep it to see what works and does not work so you can go back and make adjustments. Last is strength and conditioning. You need to be physical prepared as well as mentally. This will prevent injuries or limit them and can give you an advantage over the opponent.

What do you worry about, and why?

I always worry about my parents. They are so precious to me and If anything ever happened to them, I literally would be torn apart. They are my King and Queen. I cherish them so much.

Give me an example of when you failed at something. How did you react and how did you overcome failure?

I had finally got to live my short dream of being a D1 athlete at Baylor university. Sadly after spring ball, I found out I would be ineligible for about a year and a half. They devastated me but I was not going to let that ruin my love for the game so I got on Twitter and made a post. I was determined to find a school to play at so I grinded. I made post, messaged coaches and even called schools. Eventually Friends university contacted me and thats how I got there.

What do your teammates say is your best quality?

My leadership

My room because the first thing I see when I wake up

If there was a disaster and you could either save three strangers or one family member, which would you choose and why?

One family member because I can trust them and I know they would have my back. Blood, love and loyalty will go a long way!

If you could be any television or movie character, who would you be and why?

Will Smith in his (Fresh Prince) days because he was just funny, charming and Lived life to the fullest

Tell me about your biggest adversity in life and how you’ve dealt with or overcome it?

Transferring to 5 different colleges was tough. I was just trying to live my dream and played the game I love, but there was just somethings that happened. I never let anything stop me. If I want something Im going to pursue it no matter what It is.

What is your most embarrassing moment?

Slipping and falling on ice in public

What was the most memorable play of your collegiate career?

I ran 5-7 yard hitch route in the middle of the field and turned and looked at the quarterback. He started rolling out so I shuffled with him. He stopped and threw a bullet to a receiver that was coming across the field. I thought it was too me but it was a little behind me. I reached back and snatched It with one hand like I had a baseball glove on and the crowd went crazy.

I would rather be respected because respect goes a long way and people don’t have to like you to respect you. When you are respected they acknowledge your abilities regardless of them liking you or not.

What player who had his career derailed by off-field issues do you feel for the most and why?

Collin Kapernick because he was such an exciting talent at QB to watch. He was actually standing up for a great purpose and I still support him today. His career shouldn’t have been terminated because of that!

Do you love to win, or hate to lose?

I hate to lose because when I lose, It makes my mind start racing and thinking about all the mistakes that were made. It makes me question what could I and should have done. My hate to lose pushes me more to grind as hard as I can to be better and prevent or limit loses.
