Buck Buchanan Award Finalists have been announced
The Finalists for the Buck Buchanan Award have been announced, and the three players in the finals are Zach Hall a junior linebacker from Southeast Missouri along with another junior linebacker Dante Olson of Montana and Senior defensive end Derrick Roberson of Sam Houston State University
All three players were invited to the announcement of the 2018 Stats FCS Buck Buchanan Award, for best defensive player in college football’s D1 subdivision. The Buck Buchanan Award will be presented to the winner on January 4th, 2019 in Frisco, Texas.
Hall, set SE Missouri’s single season record with 164 tackles and finished with the most in the FCS.
Olson, recorded 24 tackles in one game and finished the season with 151 total tackles for Montana. He averaged 13.7 tackles a game.
Roberson, of Sam Houston State had 15 sacks and ranked second in the FCS with an average of 1.36 sacks per game. He really shined this season earning first team all conference.
