  • Keshawn Ward

Where do you play College Football?

  • Livingstone College.

What position do you play?

  • Strong Safety.

What is your height/weight?

  • 5’10″ 195lbs.

Did you play any other sports growing up? If so, what were they?

  • Basketball.

Who is the toughest player you have competed against in College?

  • Kerrion Moore.

Are you listening to music before a game? If so, what?

  • Yes, and rap music.

Do you have any superstitions before a game? If so, what are they?

  • My superstitions are if someone crosses a pole and they go a different direction, I have to say bread and butter twice after they do it.

Who is your role model & why?

  • My role model is T.I, I respect his hustle, and how he takes care of his family.

While in College, what has been your favorite & least favorite class?

  • My favorite class has been speech & least favorite has been business policy.

What made you choose Livingstone College?

  • It was my last opportunity to play football at division II level.

Outside of Football, what has been your favorite experience while in College?

  • Networking with people on and off campus.

Growing up, who was your favorite NFL Team & NFL player, & why?

  • Growing up, my favorite NFL Team was The San Diego Chargers but they’re now The Los Angeles Chargers. My favorite player growing up was Carnell “Cadillac” Williams.

If you could be in any movie of your choice, what would it be & what character would you play?

  • If I could be in any movie of my choice, the movie I would want to play in would be Any Given Sunday & the character I would play would be Willie Beamen (Jamie Foxx).

If you could have dinner with three people, dead or alive, who are they?

  • If I could have dinner with three people, dead or alive, it would be Jamie Foxx, T.I, and Denzel Washington.

If you could meet any historical figure, who would you choose & why?

  • If I could meet any historical figure, I would choose Malcolm X because I want to pick his brain and gain knowledge from him.

Who is your favorite superhero & why?

  • My favorite superhero is Vegeta from Dragonball Z, and I love his determination and pride.

What is your definition of hard work?

  • My definition of hard work is constantly dedicating your time to your craft until you see new results.

What is the most unexpected lesson you learned while in College?

  • The most unexpected lesson I learned while being in college is you never know who’s around or in front of you, so you should present yourself to be approachable at any given time.

What is something you wish you could go back & tell yourself as a High School Freshman?

  • Something I wish I could go back & tell myself as a High School Freshman is to
    never quit football.

Why do you wear #33?

  • I wear #33 because it was the best # available.

What is the best part of your hometown, Pittsburg, CA?

  • Pittsburg, but the best part of my hometown is the high school on Friday nights.

Who do you choose: Jordan, LeBron, Steph or Kobe? Why?

  • LeBron James, because he was able to carry two horrific teams to the NBA finals, he defeated the Golden State Warriors in 2016. He also took the Golden State Warriors to 6 games in the NBA Finals in 2015. Michael and Kobe always had a great star as their sidekick and a hall of fame head coach which was Phil Jackson. No comment @ steph being an option.

Are you a PS4 or Xbox One guy? What games are you playing right now?

  • Ps3*, I haven’t played video games consistently in years, but when I did play, I played Madden, NBA 2K, and Halo(which was on Xbox).

What has been your most memorable moment as a student-athlete?

  • My most memorable moment as a student-athlete was being invited to two all star games.

If you could have three wishes granted, what would they be?

  • If I had three wishes granted, they would be to have a guaranteed 15 year career in the NFL, to be a super saiyan, and be able to rewind and change time.

What is your hidden talent?

  • My hidden talent is that I am an amusing entertainer.

If there is a book written about Keshawn Ward, what is the title?

  • “Pride!”

What are three things on your “Bucket List?”

  • The three things on my “Bucket List” are to travel to Samoa, go sky diving, and to own an exotic animal.

Are you binge watching anything right now?

  • No I’m not right now.

If you had one free hour each day, how would you choose to use it?

  • If I had one free hour each day, I would choose to use it by stretching.

If you could intercept any NFL QB, past or present, who would it be & why?

  • If I could intercept any NFL QB, I would choose Kurt Warner, and it would be because I want to tease my Father about it.

What are three words to give NFL scouts that define Keshawn Ward?

  • The three words I would give NFL scouts that define Keshawn Ward would be prideful, versatile, and tough.

What is your inspiration?

  • My inspiration is to make Russell Gaskamp from Oklahoma Panhandle State University eat his words by telling me “I’d never play a down of football again, and I wouldn’t amount to much if I left his program.”
