Defensive Diamond of the Week: Justice Bishop, DE, Union College

Defensive Diamond of the week by, Matt Anzio

On a year when things aren’t going exactly as planned for the Bulldogs. When loses more than triple then the amount of wins sometimes people fold and give up due to a bad circumstance. Bishop & the Bulldogs decided to not do that & marched into Post’s home to take home with a nail biting 21-20 win.On a missed extra point at the end of regulation.  The Bulldogs D was pivotal in the win keeping them in the games with clutch stops & turnovers Bishop was a key piece for Unions terrific Defensive outing. Matter of fact the Post O out gained Unions O 299 yds to 178. So obviously it was the D’s play that kept them in the ball game for the win.

On Saturday Bishop  was on fire, flying thru the line like a scalding knife through  room temp butter. Finishing the day with 13 tackles,1 TFL & 3 QBP’s. He made plays constantly all day but also at crucial times like right before the 2nd half he continually beat the opposing OT’s for Post putting their QB  under pressure all day .Bishop showed dominance on Sat deserves all the credit in the world. With invites to many All star Senior Bowl games like the National, The Dream Bowl & The Podyum Miami Bowl to name a few think scouts are starting to hear briefly of his name but small school scouts know all about Bishop. He is a hard worker with a high motor in a deep class on D lineman he could slip through the cracks but relentless performances like this make it hard to ignore the talent of this exciting edge rusher.

Congrats for your All Star invites & Allstar performance. Scouts GM’s take notice this is a prospect worth a look.

We have reports & interview on Justice & stay in the loop on Bishop @draftdiamonds
