Redskins will work out several veteran quarterbacks but Kaepernick is not one of them
Today the Washington Redskins are expecting to work out several veteran quarterbacks to come in and sit behind Colt McCoy after the team lost Alex Smith to a brutal leg injury.
Josh Johnson, EJ Manuel, T.J. Yates and Mark Sanchez are all expected to work out for the Redskins today, but one former player still wants to know why Colin Kaepernick is not getting a call. Charles Woodson the former Heisman Trophy Winner wants to know why Kaep is not in the conversation.
“I don’t think he will be picked up but he definitely should be in the conversation,” Charles Woodson tells TMZ Sports.
“There’s a lot of guys that are in the conversation to be picked up. We know the reason [Kaepernick is] not one of those guys … but he should be.”
Well according to Pro Football Talk this morning, Kaepernick is still working out and wants to play, but will get receive a call?
According to a source with direct knowledge of Kaepernick’s mindset and ongoing physical activities and preparation, Kaepernick wants to play. He continues to work out five hours per day, six days per week for one reason and one reason alone. He wants to play.
