I play for Bluefield College

Where are you from?

I am Shelby, NC

Who is your role model, and why?

My role model is Tee Muhammad, my brother. He passed away a few years ago but he was/is the true definition of real. He showed me how to push myself.

Who was your favorite teacher?

Mr. Perkins from MLK middle school.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Basketball, track, wrestling, soccer, golf, and lacrosse.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Eric Blinn, one of the most complete receivers I’ve ever seen.

Who is the most underrated player on your team?

Phillip Tyler III, he has the work ethic to be great.

What is the one song that would fire you up before the biggest game of your life?

Boosie- Mind of a maniac

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

Nickel Robey-Coleman, similar build and size. He plays with that passion and hunger like me. We’re both flexible players, can be moved around and play all over the field.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

Me and my family being homeless for a long period of time. We got through it by sticking together, keeping eachother head up, and grinding.

Do you have any pre-game rituals? 

I pray, hit my chest twice, and send one up to my brother.

What was the most memorable play of your collegiate career?

So far I would say it was when we played against the #3 team in the country. The whole game in general was memorable because it was my first game being on the field since my brother had died. I finished the game with 5 Tackles, 1 Tackle for loss, 3 Pass deflections, and 1 Interception.

What is the coolest thing you ever did off the field for someone else?

I seen a kid doing a football workout in sneakers, I asked him his size, got his contact info, and gave him some fresh cleats the next day. Till this day we still communicate on a brother level.

Who was your favorite NFL team growing up?

The Baltimore Ravens
