What is your name?
What is your Height/Weight?
What is your position?
Where do you play college football?
Texas A&M University-Commerce
Where are you from?
Who is your role model, and why?
He is the best at what I do and also has been the best for 13 years. All with the same team, Dallas, which shows not only consistency in his play, but consistency in his character.
Who was your favorite teacher?
Mr. Reyna. 6th-grade science. We got the opportunity to build a garden at our school and whatever food was not used we donated.
Did you play any other sports growing up?
Who was the toughest player you ever faced?
At my position, I didn’t have any real one on one matchups but the toughest game would be Central Washington this past year. It was the quarterfinals of the D2 national championship.
Who is the most underrated player on your team?
I would say myself just for the sheer fact that I will outwork anybody and at my position, I have the most potential. I fit the frame that the NFL wants at long snapper.
What is the one song that would fire you up before the biggest game of your life?
If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?
Zach Wood. He is the long snapper for the saints currently and we went to high school together. He has been working with me a lot so I would say since I mimic his technique we are very similar. The only difference is he’s slow and strong and I’m fast and not as strong.
What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?
I fractured my back in high school two separate times. This was a rough situation for me because I was told I might not be able to play football again. I focused on not letting other people tell me what I would be able to do and not be able to do. Overcoming this obstacle is something I will always hold close because I learned a lot about myself throughout the process.
Do you have any pre-game rituals?
listen to a little music, stretch, warm up. I make sure to snap with my punter and my holder to make any last adjustments to ensure all specialists are ready.
What was the most memorable play of your collegiate career?
Against Central Washington in the quarterfinals, the game came down to a game-winning field goal in double overtime. That snap was pressure packed and in the freezing cold and it was on the money. We won that game and then went on to win the whole thing.
What is the coolest thing you ever did off the field for someone else?
Hurricane Harvey clean up was without a shadow of a doubt the coolest thing I’ve ever done off the field. It not only allowed me to be able to help a lot of people but it also showed me the power of this earth. Being a part of the leadership council for the team allowed me to help facilitate this and I wouldn’t ever change a thing. It was a humbling experience and I actually got to discuss what we did in this video at the beginning.
Also got the opportunity to go to a Veterans Hospital and talk with wounded veterans to discuss their lives and the things they went through. They usually don’t have people that will actually listen to them and have real conversations so that was an inspiring thing to be apart of and taught me even more about different perspectives.
Who was your favorite NFL team growing up?
If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?
Jesus, Gandhi, and Vince Lombardi
