Who is your role model, and why?
My Dad is my biggest role model. He has set a great example for me about what it means to work hard and to be a man of integrity.
Who was your favorite teacher?
Dr. Doom, who was my professor for Aerodynamics and Turbomachinery
Did you play any other sports growing up?
I played baseball and basketball growing up.
Who was the toughest player you ever faced?
Xavier Williams who played at Northern Iowa. He now plays for the Arizona Cardinals.
Who is the most underrated player on your team?
Kane Louscher our fullback. He is a big part of our offense and a very hard worker who doesn’t get the recognition he deserves.
What is the one song that would fire you up before the biggest game of your life?
In The Air Tonight – Phil Collins
If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?
Alex Mack, he is a very athletic center that is able to make blocks that most offensive linemen wouldn’t be able to. He also plays with great effort and is very consistent.
Do you have any pre-game rituals?
I shave my head before every game.
What was the most memorable play of your collegiate career?
The most memorable play of my collegiate career was when we played Missouri my freshman year. I was making my first collegiate start at center and on the very first offensive play we scored a touchdown on a 75 yard run.
What is the coolest thing you ever did off the field for someone else?
The coolest thing that I’ve done off the field was this past summer when some of my teammates and I helped pack a large number of solar ovens to be sent to Haiti that people will use to cook their food.
Who was your favorite NFL team growing up?
The Green Bay Packers.
If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?
My Great-Grandpa Clark, JJ Watt, and Jeff Saturday
