Breaking: Dallas Cowboys will work out HBCU standout DB Zavian Bingham
We are learning that former Jackson State defensive back Zavian Bingham will work out with the Dallas Cowboys. We interviewed Zavian pre-draft and he compares his play to former Redskins Champ Bailey.
Bingham was invited to the Jets mini camp but did not stick. So Bingham went to the CFL. He attended a workout with the CFL’s Saskatchewan Roughriders, and he balled out.
“I went to a smaller school, so I knew that the NFL doesn’t really look as hard at smaller-school guys,” said Bingham, who spent two seasons at Jackson State University after beginning his post-secondary career at Southwest Mississippi Community College.
“Going into that mini-camp, I had a big chip on my shoulder to show that I can play any type of ball at any level. I wanted to show off my talent.”
Zavian made the team, but then suffered a minor injury. He was recently released from the CFL and now the HBCU standout will workout with America’s Team. He is a baller. Check out the 5’10 defensive back’s film below:
