Zeke Elliott returns to practice after car accident; Jaylon Smith has no regrets on Bowl Game
The Dallas Cowboys have an amazing roster on paper, and if the team can get great production out of Jaylon Smith the teams former second round pick and continue to get great production out of Dak Prescott and Zeke Elliott watch out. The Cowboys could be Super Bowl bound soon.
Last week Zeke Elliott was involved in a car accident that kept him out of practice, but it looks like Zeke returned yesterday.
According to David Moore of the Dallas Morning News “The Cowboys running back returned to the practice field Tuesday as the team began its second week of organized team activities.”
On May 21, the car Elliott was in (he was the passenger) was involved in a minor accident. Jaylon Smith knows about injuries suffered in freak accidents as well. The former Notre Dame linebacker was asked about his rehab and also if he would have sat out of his Bowl Game if he could go back in time. Smith said he has no regrets on playing.
“Those freak types of accidents, injuries, they happen,” Smith said on the Doomsday Podcast with Ed Werder and Matt Mosley, per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. “But you don’t go in the game thinking, ‘Oh man I’m going to get hurt.’ That was my decision, and I love it. And I wouldn’t change it. If I knew that I was going to get hurt and wasn’t going to be a top-five pick again, I would have literally played in that game again because of my teammates and how much Notre Dame means to me.”
