Victor Cruz worked out for the Panthers after he was released but since then has not really heard any news.  The former New York Giant wants to play football.  He even sent out a plea to his former head coach, Tom Coughlin who is now the VP of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

“I just want to play,” Cruz told The Post. “I’m just anxious to get on a team, anxious to play some football and anxious to see where I end up.”

Cruz was then asked about the Jacksonville Jaguars and playing for Tom Coughlin.

“I’m all for it,” said Cruz, who was on hand in Midtown for BTIG Charity Day, where athletes and celebrities acted as guest stock traders taking calls from clients to raise money for different charities.

“Any time you know someone and you know a coach like Coach Coughlin and you know his pedigree and what he’s about, for him to be on another team, you’re always for that opportunity.”

Imagine Victor Cruz in the slot?  He could be a good asset for Blake Bortles, even though he fell off at a rapid pace.  Maybe Doug Marrone and company could get the best out of the 30 year old Jersey native.
