Tom Brady says he is not the G.O.A.T.; Says he is a system quarterback
Ian O’Connor of ESPN asked New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady if he thought he’d moved past Joe Montana (Brady’s childhood hero) in an interview that was published today. Brady said he does not believe that.
“I don’t agree with that and I’ll tell you why,” Brady said. “I know myself as a player. I’m really a product of what I’ve been around, who I was coached by, what I played against, in the era I played in. I really believe if a lot of people were in my shoes they could accomplish the same kinds of things. So I’ve been very fortunate.”
Brady may be just trying to humble himself but let’s face it, he is better than any quarterback when you look at rings. Until someone beats him in that quarterback he will go down as the best quarterback.
As for a system quarterback, I think he has a point. The thing is not everyone can do what Tom Brady does in that same system, so he is much better than just a system quarterback, and that is coming from a Bills fan.
