Seahawks coach says team will focus on the run more in 2017

Seahawks are a solid team but their coach wants them to run the ball better

The Seattle Seahawks have been horrible in the run game since Marshawn Lynch left the team, and this year they are going to try to re-establish the run game.  Last season they ranked 25th in the league, and this year they tried to boost the power run game by adding Eddie Lacy.

“We definitely will,” Carroll said, via ESPN when asked if Seattle will focus more on the ground game in 2017. “We lost 100-something runs last year. And that was basically the story. That was basically the tale of why everything came about as it did. The defense had to do some more stuff. We had to throw the ball more. We had to pass protect more and all of that because the running game got knocked up.”

Lacy will get paid big money if he can hit his bonus marks. Lacy could be a pretty wealthy back if he can run behind the Seahawks make shift O-Line.
