What is your name?

Kyle Joseph Sloter

What is your Height/Weight?

6’5 223

What is your position?

Quarterback

Where do you play college football?

University of Northern Colorado

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the
field?

I would say either going to a nursing home during Christmas with my teammates to spend time with some of the elderly folks without family or spending a day with children with special needs and showing them a day in the life of a college football player. Those two things are memories I’ll never forget in which the people I dealt with taught me more than I probably taught them.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Multinational Finance

Where are you from?

Atlanta, Georgia

Who is your role model, and why?

My dad is my role model. He has always pushed me to be better in every aspect of my life and he saw greatness in me before I saw it in myself. He’s taught me how to be a man and how to handle responsibility. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have a father in their life so I’m blessed to have one that was there every single day that believed in me.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

I was big into baseball and basketball. Honestly I thought I would probably end up playing one of those sports when I was younger but football started to emerge as my favorite late in high school.

Did you play any other positions in football?

I actually transitioned from QB to wide out in college at Southern Mississippi and transitioned back to QB once I transferred to Northern Colorado.

At your position, what separates you from others?

I believe my mental capacity for the game is exceptional. I have had 5 different offensive coordinators so I have a lot of knowledge about football that I’ve taken from each one. I also think I’m a big athletic guy with talents that not a lot of people possess. I have a strong arm and was clocked at 58 mph at my pro day which would have been third at the combine. The biggest thing that separates me from other quarterbacks is my accuracy. I think I possess elite level accuracy and I’m excited to showcase that.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

I try to identify the opponents most frequently used blitzes and pressures. Each team usually has the same 6-8 they use throughout a game multiple times. I look for tendencies in the linebacker and defensive line alignments during a given play so I can identify the pressure to my team and change the protection accordingly if need be.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Landon Collins when I played receiver at USM

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

I’ve always watch Aaron Rodgers and tried to emulate what he does. We both have strong arms and are very athletic cerebral players.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you
overcome it?

Being told I wouldn’t get a chance at USM to play Qb and having to switch positions in order to try to get some playing time. I’ve been doubted my whole collegiate career. I was never given much of an opportunity until my senior year. I overcame by persevering and continuing to work hard and wait patiently for my opportunity and making the most of it when my chance was given.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

I just like to pray. I like to thank god for all the blessings in my life regardless of the outcome or the circumstances I’m in.

What is your biggest strength?

My football IQ and my arm talent.

What is your biggest weakness?

From an NFL standpoint probably experience. I’ve only played in 11 games as a Qb. About 20 total.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

Football is my passion. I’m a hard working blue collar type guy. I show up every day ready to work and get better. I don’t come with issues on or off the field. I believe in my ability as a passer and a natural athlete and in my mind I’m the best quarterback in this draft.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

Michael Vick. Atlanta Falcons.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

Michael Jordan, Albert Einstein, Tupac

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?

Something special for my family to repay them.
