Working with POTS to feed the less fortunate in the Bronx

Chemistry

Barnwell, SC
Who is your role model, and why?
My role models are my parents. They show my siblings and I the right way to do things by letting the fruits of your labor determine what blessings you receive and by entrusting everything in God.
Did you play any other sports growing up?
I played Basketball, Baseball, and also ran Track in high school. Football is actually the sport I played the least because I only played my last two years of high school.
Did you play any other positions in football?
In high school, I also played defensive end on 3rd down and free safety.
At your position, what separates you from others?
My combination of size, athleticism, and speed.
When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?
First, I look to see if the defense gave us the look we expected them to give. Second, I look to see if I did what my coaches wanted me to do for that look. Third, I look at my technique and see what I could have done differently to better myself. Then, I look to see if the offense as a whole executed their assignments on that play.
Who was the toughest player you ever faced?
Don Cherry
If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?
Julius Thomas because there are a lot of similarities in our game/background story
What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?
Playing behind Dan Light for 3 years. It really taught me to be patient and keep working no matter what
Do you have any pre-game rituals?
No pregame rituals
What is your biggest strength?
My biggest strength is my size and the mismatch I provide in the pass game
What is your biggest weakness?
There are not many 6’8″ football players with my athleticism walking around
Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?
Steve Smith Sr.
If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?
Will Smith, Barack Obama, Frank Ocean
What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?
A car for my mother
