Lorenzo Mitchell

What is your Height/Weight? 

6’4 260

What is your position? 

Tight End/H-Back

Where do you play college football? 

Tusculum College

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field? 

I was apart of a Big Brothers/Role Model  program in junior college. We got to hangout and mentor the teenage boys at a local boarding school.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Accounting

Where are you from?

Chicago, IL

Who is your role model, and why? 

My uncle Johnnie Harris, he grew up in a similar situation to me and still overcame adversity and made it to the NFL. He inspired me to do the same thing.

Did you play any other sports growing up? 

I played basketball and high school and college

Did you play any other positions in football? 

H-Back and Fullback

At your position, what separates you from others? 

I believe my route running, ball skills and run blocking separates me from others. Being able to do all 3 is becoming rare in the NFL

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

When watching film, I look for tendencies from players to read their coverages and anything they do to give myself and the team an advantage

Who was the toughest player you ever faced? 

Brandyn Bartlett 

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why? 

Richard Rodgers, because we have very similar body types and our playing styles are similar. Big body guys who can run routes and catch the ball very well.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it? 

The biggest obstacle I had to overcome is continuing to chase my dream of playing in the NFL after losing my cousin to the violence in Chicago. Most positive person I’ve ever been around

Do you have any pre-game rituals? 

I drink pedialyte before games and I listen to the sound of the ocean to fall asleep to the day before the game

What is your biggest strength? 

Route running and Ball skills

What is your biggest weakness? 

Speed, which is improving every week with my combine training

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say? 

I would tell you that I am a student of the game, my dedication, determination and work ethic is something I will bring to the team each and everyday. I love the game of football and I will do whatever I can to produce for the team and be a positive teammate in the locker room as well as on and off the field

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up? 

New England Patriots 

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose? 

Tom Brady, Lil Wayne, Kobe Bryant

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?

My mom a house and car. She deserves it all
