Dolphins will release LT Branden Albert; Moves saves 7.2 million
Miami Dolphins are done with Branden Albert as their starting left tackle. According to Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports, the team is planning on releasing Albert and saving 7.2 million in cap.
Albert signed a five-year contract, worth $47 million, in 2014. The 32-year-old had two years remaining on the deal. Albert never played 16 games in three seasons in Miami, including missing four starts last season. Albert will join Kelvin Beachum and Ryan Clady as available offensive tackles on the market. In the past three days the free agency pool has became a strength.
