Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

I’ve actually done a couple of cool things off the field. I was presented with the opportunities to spend time with kids in hospitals, the local Boys & Girls Clubs, and helped teach the youth and women about the game of football.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Accounting

Where are you from?

Madison, FL

Who is your role model, and why?

My parents. They have done a great job of being there for my siblings and I. They’re my everything!

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Baseball

Did you play any other positions in football?

I’ve played QB,WR, LB, K, P.

At your position, what separates you from others?

My explosiveness, versatility and instincts.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

I’m looking for tendencies from each player and their playing styles. I also focus on what plays the opposing team loves to run in certain situations.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Corey Davis WMU

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

Shamarko Thomas. We both are built the same way and have similar playing styles. 

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

Coming back after having surgery to a new coaching staff. I overcame it by becoming a more dependable player on and off the field. I wanted to outwork everyone else.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Always have to send a prayer up to thank God for blessing me with the opportunity to play the game that I love one more time.

Passion, Speed, Versatility, Tackling

What is your biggest weakness?

Length

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I’m that hidden gem that you and your organization is looking for. I have a lot to bring to the table that would help to contribute to the success of this team. I’m a guy that can play multiple positions on defense and on special teams. I have phenomenal leadership and athletic skills that can give the team the spark that it needs.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

Ed Reed/Troy Polamalu

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

My grandfather, Muhammad Ali, Erk Russell

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?

Paying my tithes
